The appearance of humankind, a belief for centuries.
Having made the introductory preamble in «Hispania, Mother and Refuge 1», let’s see:
For thousands of years, the only source of information about past events was oral tradition, passed down from one generation to the next. But we all know what happens when five or more people tell each other something: each person understands what they hear, interprets it, and recounts it in their own way (which includes additions or omissions, according to their own beliefs or personal knowledge), so that the last person receives something quite different from what the first person said. Imagine this when, instead of everyone being present, we’re talking about transmission between generations.
Without any doubt, the great-great-grandson will tell his son something very different from what his great-great-grandfather told him.
For example, in my novel «Karmic Biography,» I show how the Iroquois shared a common legend about the creation of the Earth (the Great Turtle). However, among the different Iroquois tribes, there were significant differences regarding the descendants of the Lady of the Sky.
It’s easy to conclude that humans resolved this somewhat by transmitting ideas through drawings that represented reality, then drawings based on symbols already common within the tribe. Later, by combining the first syllable of one drawing’s name with the first syllables of others, they formed the word they wanted to convey (Egyptians).

Meanwhile, other cultures were creating words and ideas with lines in different positions according to a prior agreement among the scholars of that culture, primarily to manage administrative and legal matters (cuneiform writing and Eastern cultures); until the Phoenicians created a system of one sign per consonant phoneme, a system of words without vowels. This inspired Hebrew and then Aramaic, with their equally vowel-less scripts, which were invented by the Greeks in the 8th century BC.
So, with the interpretation (I repeat: interpretation) of sources so incomplete in their detail, where, given a word with just consonants where, adding vowels or other sounds results in a different word, we have lived on “truths,” accurate or not, during centuries, until archaeology and the reading of DNA and its genealogy were born. This is the case of the famous saying: “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle…” which Jesus said about the rich people; currently, scholars have realized that, instead of camel, he could have been saying rope, taking into account the morphology of the word, the possible vowels, and the construction and context of the idea conveyed. How many other words in the Bible (and the Quran, since Arabic 1,400 years ago didn’t write vowels either) have been translated according to the translator’s understanding rather than the intended meaning?
Having clarified this point, in the next issue we will delve into why we say that Hispania was a mother and refuge 1.3 billion years ago, before any other European country and before other great civilizations that followed. We will do so trusting that, by the time we publish this thesis, you will have reflected on everything discussed so far and will adopt the following position (which has been very useful to me) of: «I believe A, B, and C because, after careful analysis, they seem correct, and I will continue to maintain them until someone reasons with me and demonstrates something more coherent and logical; because, despite anything else, I admit that I could be wrong.»
If you manage to internalize this sort of thought, you will gain wisdom. In the other “Hispania, Mother and Refuge» within this WEB” we will talk about: Atapuerca; Human Evolution; Atlantis; Origin of the Celts in Hispania; Origin of the Celts in the British Isles; Troy: Origin of the Iberians; and much more.
